About AAUW Los Altos – Mountain View
Mission:
AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. In support of this mission, the Los Altos-Mountain View chapter sponsors Tech Time Science Club and also raises money for the AAUW Educational Foundation and AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund.
We also present monthy public program meetings of general interest and produce programs for the community on AAUW Connections. We have many Interest Groups, ranging from books to bridge to golf, where members can pursue shared interests and become better acquainted. We welcome new members – please see the Membership page for more information.
Founded in 1953, our chapter helped start the Friends of the Los Altos Library, Community Health Awareness Council, Music for Minors, Tech Trek science camp for girls, Tech Time science program for local Girl Scouts, Cablevision community cable programming. The last three are on-going branch projects.
