Oct. 13, 15, 17: (#190) “AAUW Authors Luncheon” Meet local authors and hear them read excerpts from their books at the AAUW Annual Educational Foundation Benefit. Ann Packer author of many short stories, reads Dive from Clausen’s Pier; Joshua Spanogle, Stanford medical student, reads Isolation Ward; and Mildred Kalish reads from her memoir, first novel, Little Heathens.
Oct. 20, 22, 24: (#194) “Tech Trek 2008” gives us a chance to meet local girls who attended Tech Trek summer camp at Stanford – a week of science, math, fun, and many, many experiences including meeting many women in business. Hear directly from the girls as host Marge Bruno talks with them about camp.
Oct. 27, 29, 31: (#193) “Say Hi, San Antonio Hills Association” Host Marge Bruno will talk with the founders of this grass roots organization, Gary and Mary-Ellen White-Vondran.
