AAUW Interbranch Council of Santa Clara County invites Los Altos-Mountain View AAUW members to hear Charlotte Newhart, AAUW CA Advocate speak on “Public Input – Better Output: Legislation You Can Support for CA Women and Families.”
This event takes place on February 6, 2009, 9:30 – 12:00 noon (Coffee:  9:30 AM, Program  10:00 – 12:00 noon) at the Camden Community Center, 3369 Union Avenue (corner of Camden & Union) San Jose, CA.
Charlotte Newhart is the AAUW CA advocate. Working in a number of arenas, she develops policies which impact Californians, especially women.  Public policy activities include the legislative process, the regulatory process, relationships with program administrators in State government, and presently, the most frustrating of all, the State budget. Charlotte is a lively, knowledgeable speaker, and you won’t want to miss this opportunity to be an informed community member.
