Meet the Tech Trek & Tech Time Science Club Girls, Presenters & Parents
Time:       Saturday, May 29, 10 a.m. to noon
Place:       Bus Barn Theater, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos
Program:  Danielle Feinberg, Life at Pixar: Lighting the Way of Animation
Danielle Feinberg is the Director of Photography for Lighting at Pixar Animation Studios. Thirteen years ago she walked in the doors of Pixar for her first day on the job and thought it couldn’t possibly get any better than that, a culmination of years of hard work. Come listen to her talk about what it took to get there, how her work has gotten even cooler than that first day and get an inside peek at how movies are made at Pixar.
This is also our opportunity to honor newly selected scholarship recipients of AAUW’s Tech Trek summer science camp at Stanford, as well as participants of Tech Time Science Club for Girls, our branch community action project that provides hands-on science enrichment for Girl Scouts in 4th-6th grades.

Speaking of membership, renewal forms are being sent with the May and June Vital Links.  (You should have already gotten the May issue.)  Your renewal is due by June 30, so please bring your form and check to the June Social or mail them as soon as possible.

Rotary Art Show
Los Altos Rotary Club has always been a significant supporter of Tech Trek, contributing at least one and usually two scholarships per year. We are most grateful for their support, and ask you to consider attending the Rotary Art Show – it is their main fund raiser for their generous community contributions.  The Los Altos Rotary Club’s annual Art in the Park event will be on Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16, in Lincoln Park on Foothill Expressway.
